Dr. Sharifeh Rezaee
Research Field: Electrocatalyst
Sharifeh received her Ph.D. degree in Electrochemistry from the Sharif University of Technology in 2020 (Tehran, Iran). She has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in Shahrokhian's research group from 2021 to now. Sharifeh's research activities focused on synthesizing, evaluating, and characterization of novel electrocatalyst nanomaterials. Besides, she has experience in designing and engineering the nanomaterial morphology for electrocatalytic processes. Specifically, her research is revolving around how to incorporate different carbon nanomaterials with noble or non-noble metals in different forms (metals/metals oxides/alloys) with unique nanostructures for exploring novel multi-component catalysts. Also, she focuses on designing and synthesizing 2D/3D bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). These MOFs are used as a template for the preparation of highly porous carbon materials and hybrid metal,metal oxides, phosphides, sulfides, nitrides. In particular, she is working on the relationships between material composition/morphology and the resulting electrocatalytic performances.
