Projects:

  • Designed and built a drop-test machine with a 200g - acceleration sensor to measure the impact energy as well as the fracture energy of the copper-solder joints
  • Modeled and analyzed the drop/impact process to investigate the fracture behavior of a copper-solder joint with a Dynamic Explicit 3-D model using plane – stress and plane – strain elements in ABAQUS
  • Investigated the fracture surface of solder joints with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
  • Designed and built an Arduino controller board driving fans, heaters, humidifier modules, and measuring sensors
