By the way, I got married in 1996, shortly after my MSc graduation from Sharif University of Technology. I have currently two children.

I am working in various fields related to the physics and technology of photonics and semiconductors, although I have had some experience and interest in other related fields too. My primary focus is Photonic Crystals.

Greetings !

Here you will find some information about my past background and current activities.

I was born in Tehran, Iran on November 25, 1975. After attending Mofid and Alborz High Schools I was admitted to Abadan Institute of Technology in the field of Electrical Engineering in 1991. Then I received my MSc and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 1996 and 2001, respectively, both under supervision of Prof. Bizhan Rashidian.

After spending a two-year postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Ali Adibi's group at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, which was terminated in February 2004, I returned to my home country.

Since then I have been an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology.
