Biography:
Professor
Hossein Farrahi gained his doctorate degree at Arts et Metier Paris Tech
(ENSAM) of Paris in 1985. After having spent a few months in England he
returned to Iran and joined Bu-Ali Sina University. There he founded the
Department of Mechanical Engineering and became Dean of the Faculty of
Engineering from 1986 to 1989. In 1990 he went back to England and joined the
Structural Integrity Research Institute of University of Sheffield (Sirius)
where he worked alongside the late Professor Keith Miller. He has been in
collaboration with University of Bristol, Brunel University and Cranfield
University. During his academic carrier, he has published more than 240 papers.
